The purpose of the job is to support the institution in accomplishing its teaching and learning objectives. The job will also deliver lectures, evaluate student learning and modify instructional methods and strategies as appropriate to meet diverse student needs according to UWI-ROYTEC’s standards.

On a part-time basis

PROGRAMME: Bachelors in Education Degree for Primary School Teachers (B.Ed.)

COURSE(S):

  • DANCE AND DRAMA IN EDUCATION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master’s Degree in Education, or an equivalent qualification in the area of specialisation.

  • Available to lecture during the day, evening and

    Saturdays at the North and South Campus.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least two (2) years' tertiary level teaching experience in the subject area.

  • At least two (2) years' experience teaching in an online environment/using online platforms.

  • Experience using Learning Management System (e.g. Canvas).

  • A minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a field related to the course being taught.

COMPETENCIES

  • A firm command of the subject matter and the ability to effectively communicate in the area of specialisation.

  • The ability to effectively execute teaching and learning, classroom management and assessments at the undergraduate level.

  • Proficiency in teaching with diverse instructional methods including face-to-face, online and blended learning.

  • Excellent communication skills for engaging students in online and face-to-face environments.
